Our St. John’s quilting group meets on the first and last Wednesday of every month. We work together in flexible groups as we cut out fabric squares, lay them out in various designs, sew the blocks together and then tie the completed tops, batting, and backing together. Finally, the edged are pinned together and sewn.

No previous sewing experience is needed for most of the steps.

We welcome anyone interested to give it a try.

This past year we completed 199 quilts and distributed 181 which were donated to Lutheran World Relief, Beacon House, Bolton Refuge, Chippewa Falls Homeless Veterans, Tomah Veterans Home, Western Dairyland and local families. We thank everyone who helped make this mission possible with your donations of cotton fabric, bed sheets of all sizes, and money for  batting. Our need for these supplies is ongoing and your support is greatly appreciated.
