          Welcome to St. John's website

We are a congregation that seeks to be a fountain of life for all who gather here and a river of compassion for the world.  We as the church gather for worship and then scatter for service in the places of influence God leads us into.  In this time God's Holy Spirit is gathering us around various forms of media while we shelter in our homes.  We are discovering our worship is not confined by building or space but in the calm places we construct in our homes for a time on Sundays and Wednesdays.  In this time God's Holy Spirit is also leading and guiding us to love our neighbor in new and life-giving ways.  Please join us as we lead worship remotely from our homes on Facebook Live as described below.  Look for resources for asistance listed below.  Included in the list are also ways healthy people can reach out.  Thank you for your financial support of St. John's.  Go to the "Give" tab above for options of how you can make a difference.

Giving to St. John's is as easy as as using your smart phone.  Just download the GIVEPLUS+ APP on your phone and see how simple it is.  You will see giving options to the Operating Fund, to the special monthly mission and for April you can give to the Lenten and Easter funds.  You can also give by going to the "Give" tab above for online giving or you can simply send in your offering envelope by mail.  Please call the church office if you have questions.  Thank you for your continous support to St. John's.

Virtual Holy Week and Easter Worship at St. John's

Please join us in these holy days focusing on the word and song during our Facebook Live worship.  As always, it will be shared and available after the Live broadcast.  For each day there will be two parts, one of word with one of the pastors, and one of song with Roxanne Litchield.

April 9th - Maundy Thursday at 12:15 p.m.   All Washed Up and Ready to Go, with an invitation to Foot and Hand Washing.

April 10th - Good Friday at 12:15 p.m.  Confession and Prayer Around the Cross at Home.

April 12th - Easter at 8:15 a.m.  Leaving the Tomb, as Christ has chosen to leave the tomb, we are called to that new life journey, too.

We love to hear your comments as you join our virtual times of worship.  In these days we are truly the body of Christ even when we are not able to be together in the same physical space.  We are very grateful for your faithfulness, your presence in worship, and your offerings.

Ways to Help or Get Help in the Eau Claire Community in Times of Crisis

People are in need of your help!  It could be as simple as running to the store for milk or something as serious as giving blood.  We have put together a list of orgainzations in the Eau Claire area that are in need of your help or if you are in need they are there for you.  We also have a booklet in the entry way at church that is called "Helping Hands" that gives great ideas of places to go if you need assistance.  Just know that you are not alone and people in the community and at church are here to help.

The Lord's Prayer takes about 20 seconds...
...to say, which is also the amount of time it takes for you to scrub off virus germs once you get your hands wet and soaped!  Then happily rinse knowing the germs will go down the drain!  As a community of faith, we are called to love our neighors as ourselves.  In time of communicable disease, we are moving towards more work remotely and limiting our contacts daily so that we can flatten the curve and slow the spread of disease.  Encourage your neighbors and friends to do good by limiting contact in this critical time. Be well, stay clam, and wash our hands.
