          Welcome to St. John's website

We are a congregation that seeks to be a fountain of life for all who gather here and a river of compassion for the world.  We as the church gather for worship and then scatter for service in the places of influence God leads us into.  In this time God's Holy Spirit is gathering us around various forms of media while we shelter in our homes.  We are discovering our worship is not confined by building or space but in the calm places we construct in our homes for a time on Sundays and Wednesdays.  In this time God's Holy Spirit is also leading and guiding us to love our neighbor in new and life-giving ways.  Please join us as we lead worship remotely from our homes on Facebook Live as described below.  Look for resources for asistance listed below.  Included in the list are also ways healthy people can reach out.  Thank you for your financial support of St. John's.  Go to the "Give" tab above for options of how you can make a difference.

Giving to St. John's is as easy as as using your smart phone.  Just download the GIVEPLUS+ APP on your phone and see how simple it is.  You will see giving options to the Operating Fund, and to the special monthly missions.  For May you can give to the Weekend Kids' Meals, Cemetary Care and/or Capital Improvement funds.  You can also give by going to the "Give" tab above on this web page for online giving or you can simply send in your offering envelope by mail.  Please call the church office if you have questions.  Thank you for your continous support to St. John's.

Please call directors Nancy Hanson or Phyllis Meier at 715-834-9571 for information about the preschool ministry at SJCP or to receive enrollment information.  Classes are limited to ten students.

Ways to Help or Get Help in the Eau Claire Community in Times of Crisis

People are in need of your help!  It could be as simple as running to the store for milk or something as serious as giving blood.  We have put together a list of orgainzations in the Eau Claire area that are in need of your help or if you are in need they are there for you.  We also have a booklet in the entry way at church that is called "Helping Hands" that gives great ideas of places to go if you need assistance.  Just know that you are not alone and people in the community and at church are here to help.

Ways to Help or Get Help

A group of our hard working members have been busy sewing masks to share with you!  They are available for you to pick up in our entry way by the office entrance or if you are unable to stop by, we would love to deliver one to you.  Also see the attachment below for "safer-at-home" suggestions.

"Virtual" Ride and Stride for Hungry Kids

This summer Feed My People Food Bank plans to continue to serve 2,000 weekend kids meals per week to children in need in the Chippewa Valley.  Each weekend sack meal costs between $2-$5.  So now, more than ever, we continue to help them meet the needs of our community, especially doing our part to help the childreen at Locust Lane Elementary School, which is the assigned school for St. John's.

The Community and World ministry invites you to Stamp Out Hunger with our Ride and Stride event that runs from June 5th-14th!  Also known as Larry's Legacy, this year you choose the day and time to ride or walk for our Weekend Kids' Meals fundraiser.  Ask a friend or family member to support your "virtual" ride or 5K stride by donating to this worthy cause.  See the link below for more information.
