St. John’s Lutheran Church is a people formed in the waters of Christian baptism to be a fountain of life for all who gather here, overflowing into a river of compassion for the world.

What is the first thing you notice when you walk into a church? The first thing you should encounter in a Christian church is the love of God in Jesus Christ. If that is not plainly visible, then the rest of what happens in there doesn’t really matter. We at St. John’s constantly experience the love of God in Jesus Christ. We try to reflect that love by being a fountain of life for everyone who comes through our doors. We strive to share that love by letting it flow into the community and the world.

St. John’s is not a place for people who are perfect. It is a place to experience forgiveness, renewal, community, love, and hope. Come on in, the water’s fine!

What do these words conjure: sand cross, vigil candles, afternoon and evening worship, a journey of 40 days? It must be Lent! Yes, our Midweek Wednesday worship and soup supper begins March 6th with Ash Wednesday.  The following five Wednesdays we reflect upon the theme Healing at worship 12:15PM and 7:15PM.  A simple soup supper is served after the midday worship and at FEAST in the evening.  We hope you will come hear a word of healing as we await the joy of the Resurrection.

We invite you to please pick your “Lasting Hope” devotional booklet for this Lenten season, found on a table in the gathering area. This is a wonderful daily reminder of the book of Psalms, pointing us to God.

St. John's offers a nursery for children ages 0 to 5.

From September to May there is a paid attendant in the nursery during worship services, Sunday school and adult education hour.
Bethany Shuda has fun things planned for the children in the nursery.

See you in the Promise Room on Sunday. Pastor Christine
