St. John’s Lutheran Church is a people formed in the waters of Christian baptism to be a fountain of life for all who gather here, overflowing into a river of compassion for the world.

What is the first thing you notice when you walk into a church? The first thing you should encounter in a Christian church is the love of God in Jesus Christ. If that is not plainly visible, then the rest of what happens in there doesn’t really matter. We at St. John’s constantly experience the love of God in Jesus Christ. We try to reflect that love by being a fountain of life for everyone who comes through our doors. We strive to share that love by letting it flow into the community and the world.

St. John’s is not a place for people who are perfect. It is a place to experience forgiveness, renewal, community, love, and hope. Come on in, the water’s fine!

St. John's has parking for those with disabilities in our north parking lot (behind the church). In the far left corner, there is a door with an elevator sign, please enter through this door.

For those who are hard of hearing, St. John's has a T-coil hearing loop system in the worship area. There are also headsets available for use. If you prefer, you may bring your own personal ear buds or headset.

St. John's offers a nursery for children ages 0 to 5.

From September to May there is a paid attendant in the nursery during worship services, Sunday school and adult education hour.

Advent and Christmas are seasons full of sights, sounds, and sensations. It is love that is seen and felt in the One who took on the same flesh as we. Perhaps then, our worship should also have a sense of seeing, hearing, and touching what is true about our faith: a messy stable, a fearful journey and a light to find the way. This is Advent. This is Christmas. It's about finding ourselves again in the story of salvation together.

It's not news to anyone that we are living in a time of conflict in politics, in religion, in education. And yet we know it doesn't have to be like this.

Please join us on Dec. 2, Dec. 9 and Dec. 16 as Community & World sponsors the 9:30 a.m. in the Promise Room.
