St. John's Lutheran Church is looking to hire a Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministry (CYF)

The person in this position will support and develop a culture of welcoming and inclusivity for children and youth while building lasting relationships and equipping people in the congregation to serve children and youth in a variety of roles. In our welcoming and service-oriented environment, this approachable and organized person will help us bridge all age groups while developing, communicating and implementing all aspects of ministry to support and encourage relationships and growth for children, youth and families in their faith.

Part-time Position

St. John’s is looking for someone within the congregation to open and prepare the facility for Sunday worship or weddings and funerals as well as any needed tasks before locking up at the end of the morning or event. The ability to handle snow removal in the winter is helpful. The hours are about 5 hours per Sunday at $15 an hour. Hours for weddings and funerals vary. Neighbor to Neighbor - Neighbor to Neighbor Latinx Ministry helps the community with programs; such as, holding anti-racism sessions in churches, participating in the decisions of the health department to improve measures against COVID coverage, support scholarships for students who idenify as Latinx at UWEC, and provide positivie parenting program (Triple P) services entirely in Spanish to the Latinx community.

Lutheran World Relief - Your offering will support the work of LWR that envisions a future where all people, in every corner of the world can lead full, dignified lives. LWR works with countries to help people to grow food, imporve health and recover from disaster. Health kits, school kits and quilts made at St. John's are distributed by LWR.

People may choose to mask at any time.
Those with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID19 should wear a mask.

St. John's has KN94 masks available free of charge upon request at the office or from an usher at worship.

        "Together in God" - Media Ministry

St. John's Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church share the "Together in Ministry" program that airs weekly on Sunday mornings.  You can view St. John's worship services on the first and third Sundays of the month.

In need of extra groceries? When you drive up to one of these free grocery distribution events, pre-packed boxes of food will be loaded into your vehicle by volunteers. Menu changes and location to location and week by week, but fresh food including meat, dairy, and fruit are likely included along with a variety of non-perishable and snack food items. No ID is required. You may pick up for another household if they are unable to attend the distribution event.
