Our Mission Statement

St. John’s Lutheran Church is a people formed in the waters of Christian baptism to be a fountain of life for all who gather here, overflowing into a river of compassion for the world.

What is the first thing you notice when you walk into a church? The first thing you should encounter in a Christian church is the love of God in Jesus Christ. If that is not plainly visible, then the rest of what happens in there doesn’t really matter. We at St. John’s constantly experience the love of God in Jesus Christ. We try to reflect that love by being a fountain of life for everyone who comes through our doors. We strive to share that love by letting it flow into the community and the world.

St. John’s is not a place for people who are perfect. It is a place to experience forgiveness, renewal, community, love, and hope. Come on in, the water’s fine!

Mugs, Muffins, Movie, and MORE!

Mark your calendar for Thur., January 23 at 9:30 a.m. for the opportunity to see the movie, Babette's Feast in the Promise Room.

The Women of the ELCA would like to invite all St. John members to see this movie.

Bring a mug!  Hot water and fixings for cocoa, tea and cider will be provided as well as muffins and maybe some popcorn too!

The movie invites us to think about stewardship and our response to God's generous extravagance.

Giving to St. John's is easy using your smart phone.  Download the GIVEPLUS+ app and see how simple it is.  You will see giving options to the Operating Fund, to the special monthly missions, Capital Improvement Projects and the Good Samaritan Fund which helps people with emergency needs.

We are in the middle of another great year at SJCP and our classes are currently full.  We are also making plans for the 2020-21 year and will be enrolling children soon.  With registration beginning in February, we invite you to visit our classrooms, meet our teachers and request information to learn about the preschool experience!

Classes are limited to ten students each and are filled on a first-come-first serve basis.  We encourage families to register early.

We learn a lot, have some fun and share God's love!
