Stewardship is not fund-raising at St. John’s. No gimmicks. No guilt. No desperate pleas.

That is because, in a discipleship church, giving is neither a duty nor an option; it is the pathway to a full life lived in the presence of God. Our need to give is as real as our need for air, water, sleep, and exercise. Giving is how we fulfill our purpose as creatures made in God’s image. Giving is how we draw close to God.

We ask a simple question of our congregation: Do you believe in the message of Jesus that we proclaim here at St. John’s? A congregation that truly believes this will not have to be badgered or guilted into giving. It will do so joyfully, as much as possible.

Do you believe in the message of Jesus that we proclaim at St. John’s? Do you believe it in your heart? If so, we invite you to open your treasure to the work we are doing, and in so doing, you will open your heart to God.
