Campus Harvest

The Community and World ministry would like to thank our congregation for the support and caring you have extended to Campus Harvest at UWEC. Begun in response to the need of young adults in our community for food security, this program is run by student volunteers and open to university students. Most products are collected through donations (both nutritional and monetary) from the campus and the community. St. John’s has been a valuable partner in that support, and we want to continue extending our hands in this, God’s work.

Here’s how you can help: On September 30th and October 7th, you are asked to bring toiletries and personal care items (soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, razors, skin lotions, etc.) to worship, where they will be placed around the altar. As we are cared by Christ, we reach out to a needy world.  The care items will be brought to the Campus Harvest pantry, along with any monetary donations you feel moved to give. If you desire to give money instead of or in addition to care items, make your check out to St. John’s Lutheran Church and write on the envelope “Campus Harvest”.  Or, bring cash to put in the basket on the Sept. 30th  and Oct. 7th. This year, cash donations are matched dollar for pound by Feed My People Food bank.
