Adult Education Book Study for mid-July and early August: The Northwest Synod of Wisconsin is dedicated to combating racism and our bishop has urged all congregations to continue to have hard conversations surrounding racism in our country. As Eau Claire and the world begins to address what systemic racism is, St. John’s invites you to join this group working through the book: Me and White Supremacy. The purpose of the book is not only to consider the problem of racism, but to help provide perspective and encourage people to be good neighbors to one another. A group of people have already declared an interest in working through this unique book that asks readers to journal, explore their own bias, and become aware of the ways racism is present today.  As people of faith, we have the task to consider these problems in our world with kind conversation. If you would like to join the conversation, a couple of copies of the book are available for a donation at the church. An e-copy is available through the downtown library. Discussions of this book are scheduled for July 21, 28 and August 4 at 7:00 PM via Zoom.  As before, if you cannot join the Zoom conversation, your thoughts on the book are welcome either by phone or email to be shared with the group that meets online.
